O?Brien Named Freshman of the Week

SMITHIFLED, RI ? Freshman Courtney O?Brien (Tewksbury, Mass.) was named the Northeast-10 Conference Freshman of the Week in field hockey for the week of September 27.

O?Brien received the award for her having one goal and one assist this past week. She scored the unassisted game-winning goal in a win at Franklin Pierce 2-1, and also tallied one assist in Bryant?s 5-2 loss at Southern Connecticut State.

For the season O?Brien is tied for first on the team with five goals, tied for second on the team in assists with two, and second on the team in scoring with 12 points.
