Burns Named First Team All-Conference

SOUTH EASTON, MASS. ? Junior midfielder Maureen Burns (Derry, NH) was named to the Northeast-10 All-Conference Field Hockey First Team in an announcement made today by the conference.
Burns, who led Bryant in goals, assists, and points, was the offensive leader for Bryant in 2004. She scored eight goals and had six assists for a total of 22 points, while starting all 19 games for the Bulldogs.
She has started every game of her career, scoring 22 goals and notching 20 assists for a career total of 64 points, which puts her third all-time on the Bryant Scoring list. She was also named Northeast-10 Freshman of the Year, Second Team All-Conference, and to the NCAA All-Tournament Team in 2002.
Burns was the only member of the 2004 Bryant field hockey team to be named to either the first or second teams.
