Bryant's Maureen Burns Named NCAA Woman of Year Conference Winner
SMITHFIELD, RI - The Northeast-10 Conference Senior Women Adminstrator (SWA) council has selected Bryant University two-sport student-athlete Maureen Burns '06 as the NCAA Woman of the Year Conference winner. Burns, a first team all-conference selection in the sports of field hockey and women's lacrosse, in addition to being named the Northeast-10 Women's Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Year, graduated from Bryant in May. She is the second Bryant student-athlete in as many years to earn the Woman of the Year honor, joining softball standout Carly Muise '05 who received the award last spring.

SMITHFIELD,RI - Bryant University head field hockey coach Coni Fichera has announced the signing of four standout recruits who will join the program in the fall of 2006.

Senior Maureen Burns receives more accolades
Cape Cod, MA - Bryant University Field Hockey star senior, Maureen Burns, has been piling up awards all fall after completing her final season with the Bulldogs. This time Burns has been named a 2005 ECAC Division II Field Hockey All-Star Presented by FieldTurf. Maureen is one of only 11 players selected to this elite All-Star group. She has truly had an amazing career at Bryant University and deserves the recognition.

Burns named a 2005 Dartfish/NFHCA Second Team All-American
NFHCA Release - The awards keep piling up for senior Maureen Burns (Derry, NH) who completed her final season with the Bulldogs this year. In a release today by the NFHCA, Burns was selected as a Second Team 2005 Dartfish/NFHCA Division II All-American.

South Easton, MA - Senior Maureen Burns has been named to the Northeast-10 All-Conference First Team. A native of Derry, NH, Burns finished her illustrious career with the Bulldogs on a high note. She assisted the game winning goal against American International in Bryant's final game on October 22.

Smithfield, RI - The Bryant University field hockey team dropped a tough NE-10 Conference game on Thursday to Franklin Pierce 3-1. The Bulldogs fall to 4-14 overall and 3-12 in the conference. Bryant will host American International on Saturday for Senior Day with a 10:00am start time.

Glen Allen, Virginia - Two Bulldogs have been selected to compete in the 2005 NFHCA Division II North/South Senior All-Star game. The game will be played on Saturday, November 19, 2005 at the University of Louisville, KY. Game time is 5:30pm.

Manchester, N.H. (Oct. 15, 2005) ? Senior Kristin Tsonas (Hampton Falls, N.H.) led the Hawks to a 2-1 victory over visiting Bryant,in a non-conference matchup at the South Athletic Fields Thursday afternoon.
