      <title>Bryant's Maureen Burns Named NCAA Woman of Year Conference Winner</title>

      <description>SMITHFIELD, RI - The Northeast-10 Conference Senior Women Adminstrator (SWA) council has selected Bryant University two-sport student-athlete Maureen Burns '06 as the NCAA Woman of the Year Conference winner.  Burns, a first team all-conference selection in the sports of field hockey and women's lacrosse, in addition to being named the Northeast-10 Women's Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Year, graduated from Bryant in May. She is the second Bryant student-athlete in as many years to earn the Woman of the Year honor, joining softball standout Carly Muise '05 who received the award last spring.</description>
