NORTH ANDOVER, MA -   Bryant's Caroline Carr (Wrentham, Mass.) scored with 48 seconds left in regulation to help lead the visiting Bulldogs to a thrilling 2-1 win at Merrimack College in Northeast-10 Conference field hockey Thursday night at Warrior Field.  Carr's goal came off a penalty corner with Caitlan Johnson (Walpole, Mass.) and Julie Kutchyt (Hatfield, Mass.) picking up the assist.

The Warriors (3-10, 3-7 NE-10) went in front in the second half, scoring their first goal in over 315 minutes when Meaghan Nugent drilled a shot of a corner play past Kundayi Mawema (Zimbabwe) to give her team the 1-0 lead. Keri Gerrish  and Jenna Picco (Marshfield, MA) notched the assists on Nugent's first goal of the season.

Bryant evened the score at 54:16 as Courtney O'Brien (Tewksbury, Mass.) got credit for the game-tying goal after a scramble in front of the Warrior net off a corner play.  With just seven minutes to play,  Bryant's Kelly Frantz (Southbury, Conn.)  was robbed by Amy Larrabee  who came sprawling across the net to make a diving kick save.

Then off a corner, the Bulldogs were award another penalty stroke, their third of the game, but Larrabee stopped Rebecca Lange (Whitinsville, Mass.) with 2:45 to play in regulation.

The game was scoreless at the end of the first half as Larrabee had 12 first-half saves, including two off penalty strokes, one by Bryant's Caitlan Johnson and the other by Julie Kuchyt. Bryant outshot Merrimack 12-1 in the first half.

Larrabee finished with 18 saves, three off penalty stokes, and was the lone reason the game was scoreless at the end of the half.

Bryant (9-5, 9-2 NE-10) will host Franklin Pierce Saturday at 7 p.m.
