SMITHFIELD, R.I. Despite being outshot, 7-5, Saint Francis (PA) used a late man-up goal to drop the Bryant University field hockey team, 2-1, Sunday afternoon at DeGol Field, stopping the Bulldogs just short of their first winning streak of the season.

FIELD HOCKEY PICKS UP 4-0 WIN AT ROBERT MORRIS FRIDAY
MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. -- Sophomore Courtney Landi (Kingston, N.Y.) scored two goals to help lead the Bryant University field hockey team to a 4-0 win over Robert Morris Friday afternoon in the Northeast Conference opener for both teams. Landi's pair of tallies, both coming in the first half, gives her a team-best six goals on the season as the Bulldogs improve to 4-6 overall.

BULLDOGS FALL TO DARTMOUTH, 4-2, ON ROAD SUNDAY AFTERNOON
SMITHFIELD, R.I. - A goal and an assist from sophomore Courtney Landi (Kingston, N.Y.) gave the Bryant University field hockey team a 2-1 lead in the early minutes of the second half, but the Bulldogs wouldn't be able to keep Dartmouth at bay, allowing three unanswered goals to fall to the Big Green, 4-2, on the road Sunday afternoon.

FIELD HOCKEY DEFEATS COLGATE 2-0 SATURDAY FOR SECOND WIN
SMITHFIELD, RI - Katherine Andrusin scored five minutes into the contest and Elise Boissoneau added a goal in the 55th minute as the Bryant University field hockey team picked up its second win of the season by downing visiting Colgate 2-0 Saturday afternoon at the Turf Field Complex.

SMITHFIELD, R.I. -- After a 10-day break, the Bryant University field hockey team returns to its Smithfield, R.I. home to host Colgate University, Saturday, Sept. 26 at 1 p.m. This is just the second home game of the 2009 season for the Bulldogs, who are 1-5 overall. Colgate enters the contest with a 1-7 record.

BULLDOGS NOTCH FIRST WIN OF SEASON IN HOME OPENER AGAINST LEHIGH, 3-1
SMITHFIELD, R.I. - The Bryant University field hockey team took the field Saturday afternoon in its 2009 home opener against Lehigh University with something to prove and a debt to settle.
And after 70 minutes of stellar play, the Bulldogs (1-2) took their revenge on the visiting Mountain Hawks (0-3), completing a 3-1 victory at the Bryant Turf Complex to earn their first win of the 2009 season.

FIELD HOCKEY LOOKS TO IMPROVE, TAKE NEW CONFERENCE BY STORM IN SECOND SEASON OF DIVISION I ACTION
For a program that has risen to success so quickly since its inception just 10 years ago, the Bryant University field hockey program will enter one of its most crucial and exciting seasons in 2009.
After nine standout years at the top of Division II competition, the Bulldogs made the jump to Division I in 2008 and were met with intermittent success something the program wasnt quite used to.
But now, in 2009, under the watchful eye of first-year head coach Shaunessy Saucier, the Bulldogs look to bounce back and take their highly competitive Division I schedule by storm.

HEMPSTEAD, NY The Bryant University field hockey team dropped a 3-2 decision at Hofstra University Monday afternoon as the Bulldogs let an early two-goal slip away in dropping to 0-2 on the season. The Bulldogs will host Lehigh this Saturday at 1 pm.

Field Hockey Drops Opener 4-0 to Maine
HEMPSTEAD,NY Maine scored three first half goals en route to a 4-0 win over Bryant University in womens field hockey action Sunday afternoon at Hofstra University. Maines Jocelyn Mitchell scored the Black Bears first two goals, the first coming just five minutes into the contest. Mitchells second came 25 minutes later, scoring off a rebound from a penalty corner.

FIELD HOCKEY OPENS 2009 CAMPAIGN AT HOFSTRA TOURNAMENT; TO PLAY MAINE SUNDAY AFTERNOON IN SEASON OPENER
SMITHFIELD, R.I. -- First-year head coach Shaunessy Saucier will face an opponent she knows all too well in her debut.
The Bryant University field hockey team, under the leadership of Saucier, gets set to open its 2009 campaign and second season of Division I action this weekend at the Hofstra Tournament in Hempstead, N.Y. The Bulldogs will open the year against Saucier's alma mater, the University of Maine, Sunday at 1 p.m.

FIELD HOCKEY TABBED EIGHTH IN NORTHEAST CONFERENCE PRESEASON POLL
SMITHFIELD, R.I. -- After one full year of Division I play in 2008, the Bryant University field hockey team returns to the field in 2009 to face a full slate of Northeast Conference opponents and were picked to finish eighth in the league as voted on by conference coaches. The poll was announced Thursday afternoon by league officials.
