EIGHT NAMED TO NFHCA 2008 DIVISION I NATIONAL ACADEMIC SQUAD

SMITHFIELD, R.I. - The Bryant University Department of Athletics and head coach Shaunessy Saucier are pleased to announce the recognition of the eight members of the Bulldog field hockey team named to the 2008 NFHCA Division I national academic squad.

Senior Jenna DeMello (Mohegan Lake, N.Y.) and junior Caitlan Johnson (Walpole, Mass.) join a pair of sophomores, Elise Boissoneau (Ashburnham, Mass.) and Toby Maltz (Andover, Mass.), and a quartet of freshmen, Katherine Andrusin (North Andover, Mass.), Emily Charpentier (Walpole, Mass.), Christy Geslak (East Setauket, N.Y.) and Courtney Landi (Kingston, N.Y.) on the National Field Hockey Coaches Association list of academic all-stars.

The National Academic Squad recognizes student-athletes who have achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.30 or higher through the first semester of the 2008-09 academic year.
