After a successful playing career at Bryant, Laynie Sadler enters her first season as an assistant field hockey coach.
Sadler, a Bulldog co-captain in 2006, was a second-team All-American. She was named second team all-conference by the Northeast-10 after leading Bryant with 16 goals and 12 assists. She was second in the conference in goals and points this season. Sadler was also a first-team All-Conference Academic Selection.
Sadler is fourth all-time in school history in career goals, assists, and points. Her 12 assists in 2006 tied a school-record for a single season.
She led the Bulldogs in scoring as a junior, posting 10 goals and 22 points.
A native of Rehoboth, Mass., she was a Boston Globe
all-scholastic selection, four-year letterwinner and Sr. class
president at Dighton-Rehoboth High School, where she graduated in
2003.
