Men's Basketball Announces 2004-05 Schedule

The Bryant men’s basketball team will open the 2004-05 season with exhibition games against two of the last three NCAA Division I National Champions in November.

Bryant will travel to 2002 national champion University of Maryland for an exhibition game on Friday, Nov. 5 and will travel to the University of Connecticut, the 2004 national champion, the following week for a game on Nov. 11. The Bulldogs will return three starters from last year’s team that went 23-10 overall and reached the NCAA Division II Sweet Sixteen.

This will be the first Division I opponent for Bryant in ten years. Bryant fell to Providence College 85-60 during the 1994-95 season. Prior to that, Bryant faced the University of Rhode Island three times from 1984 to 1987, and played Brown University six times from 1986 to 1992.

Head Coach Max Good begins his fourth season at Bryant with a 47-43 record at the school. He was previously the head coach at Maine Central Institute for ten seasons and at UNLV before arriving at Bryant College in 2001. At MCI, Good amassed an overall record of 275-30 (.902). He will be inducted into the New England Basketball Hall of Fame in September.
