Bulldogs Honored By Pawtucket Red Sox Tonight

The national finalist Bryant University men's basketball team will be honored by the Pawtucket Red Sox and throw out the first pitch Friday, April 29th at McCoy Stadium.

The PawSox game with the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Red Barons is scheduled to start at 6:00pm, so Bryant fans should arrive by 5:30 to catch the pre-game ceremonies. There will be a post-game fireworks spectacular that evening as well.

Tickets are $6 general admission. For more information and directions to McCoy Stadium, go to www.pawsox.com.

Bryant set a school record with 25 wins in 2005 in earning the school's first Northeast Regional title after reaching the title game in back to back seasons.  The Bulldogs advanced to the NCAA Elite Eight in Grand Forks, N.D. in March and reached the finals with wins over Mount Olive (N.C.) and Tarleton State (Tx.) before falling to Virginia Union in the finals.  Junior John Williams and sophomore Chris Burns were named to the Elite Eight All-Tournament team.  Williams set a school record with 119 three-pointers and finished ranked 20th in the nation in scoring.
