Men's Basketball Ranked No. 4 In This Week's NCAA Regional Poll

SMITHFIELD,RI - (Feb. 8, 2006) The Bryant University men's basketball team moved up four spots to No. 4 in the latest NCAA Northeast Regional ranking released Wednesday afternoon. The Bulldogs (16-7, 11-7 NE-10) have won three-straight and seven of its last nine heading down the home stretch of the regular season.

The Bulldogs will travel to Saint Anselm this Saturday before closing out the regular season with three-straight home games at the Chace Athletic Center where Bryant is currently 9-2 this season.  Saint Anselm is ranked No. 2 in this week's regional poll. Tipoff for the men this Saturday is 3:30 pm following the women's game at 1:30 pm.

Bryant is led by senior guard John Williams who leads the team with 19 ppg and has 80 three-point field goals this season.  Williams had 16 points Tuesday night against Le Moyne, moving him into sixth all-time in career scoring at Bryant with 1,562 career points.  He drained four 3-pointers to pull him seven shy of the school record for career three's with 288.  Jason Bennett holds the record of 295.
