INAUGURAL 2006 NCAA DIVISION II/NABC DIVISION II ALL-STAR GAME IN CONJUCTION WITH THE NCAA DIVISION II MEN’S ELITE EIGHT IN SPRINGFIELD

INDIANAPOLIS, IN - The NCAA Division II Men’s Basketball Committee has announced the teams for the inaugural NCAA Division II/National Association of Basketball Coach (NABC) Men’s All-Star Game. The all-star game will be held at the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame, Friday, March 24 at 7 p.m. (ET).

The 20 participants in the All-Star game were chosen from a pool of 265 teams in Division II. The All-Star team will also attend a brunch before the championship game and a presentation during halftime of the championship game.

Representing Bryant will be senior guard John Williams (Springfield, Mass.).  Williams (right) helped lead Bryant to its third-straight NCAA tournament appearance and was named co-Player of the Year in the Northeast-10 Conference with 20.3 ppg.  As a junior, Williams set an NCAA tournament record for three-pointers in leading the Bulldogs to the NCAA Championship game in 2005 in Grand Forks, ND.
