Senior Chris Burns Named All-Region By Daktronics

Senior Chris Burns of Merrimack, NH has been named Second Team All-Region by Daktronics.  www.dspics.com

ALBANY, NY -  Bryant University senior guard Chris Burns (Merrimack, NH) has been named Second Team All-Northeast Region by Daktronics for 2006-07.  The announcement was made this week after a vote by Northeats Region Sports Information Directors. 

Burns, a first team all-Northeast-10 Conference selection, was named Second Team All-Region by Daktronics, joining three other players from the Northeast-10 Conference on the second team selection. 

This season, Burns has led the Bulldogs with 15.5 points per game average and has made 109 three-point field goals entering the NCAA Regional Semifinal game vs. Saint Rose.  He scored a career-best 36 points earlier this season against Southern Connecticut and had a pair of 31-point games vs. Pace and Stonehill in January.
