Burns Named Northeast-10 Player of the Week
SOUTH EASTON, MASS. - Bryant University senior men's basketball guard Chris Burns (Merrimack, NH) has been named the Northeast-10 Conference Player of the Week after pouring in 31 points in back-to-back games last week. In addition to the two career-best games, Burns drained a record-tying eight 3-point field goals in BOTH games.
Burns averaged 26.3 points per game and made an incredible 21 three-point field goals in three Bryant wins last week. The senior had 17 points and five three's in a win at Assumption and added a career-high 31 points and school record tying eight three-point field goals in the team's win over Pace Thursday. Burns would match that career high with 31 points in the team's win over Stonehill and tied the school record again with another eight three-point field goals. Burns scored 79 points in the three games and made 21 of 41 three's (.512 percent).
The Bulldogs travel to Southern NH on Wednesday.
