BRYANT BASKETBALL PLAYERS EARN ACADEMIC HONORS
Lambert and Kokoski Named to Northeast-10 All-Academic Team

SMITHFIELD, R.I. - Bryant University basketball standouts Peter Lambert (Cumberland, R.I.) and Lynne-Ann Kokoski (Hatfield, MA) have been named to the Northeast-10 Conference All-Academic Basketball teams for 2007-08. The announcement was made this morning by the league office.
Lambert, who holds a 3.34 GPA in accounting, has enjoyed a breakout season this year for the Bulldogs. The junior guard enters the week averaging 7.6 points per game and leads the team with 40 made three-point field goals. In the win over Merrimack on January 2, Lambert scored a career-high 29 points and set a new school record with nine made three-point field goals. Earlier in the season, Lambert scored 18 points including six 3-pointers against Saint Anselm College. The men are currently 10-8 overall (6-7 NE-10).
Kokoski, who currently has a 3.55 GPA in marketing, has been steady running the point this season for the Bulldogs who enter the week 12-6 overall and 7-6 in the Northeast-10. She has started all 18 games averaging 7.6 ppg and 5.9 assists per game. She scored a season-high 16 points against Southern New Hampshire last week. Earlier this season, she recorded her first triple-double with 13 points, 10 rebounds and 11 assists in a win over the University of Bridgeport on Dec. 19.
The Bryant men and women will return to action this Saturday when they travel to Lowell, MA to face UMass Lowell in a doubleheader starting at 2 pm at Lowell's Costello Gym.
To be eligible, student-athletes must be a sophomore in
standing, a starter or significant contributor, and hold a 3.2
cumulative grade point average or better. The All-Academic
teams are chosen by a vote of the league's Sports Information
Directors.
