NEC BASKETBALL COUNTDOWN TO TIPOFF
The NEC Countdown to Tipoff men's and women's basketball preview show will first air on Fox College Sports (FCS)-Atlantic on Wednesday, November 5th at 8:30 pm.
The show will air locally on Cox Sports Nov. 8 at 5 p.m,. Nov. 9 at 9:30 p.m, and Nov. 10 at 7:30 pm in Connecticut only.
The program, which will be made available in the coming days via
streaming video on the NEC website, will also air in November and
early December on a host of regional cable networks throughout the
Northeast, including MSG Network, MSG-Plus, FSN-Pittsburgh,
Mid-Atlantic Sports Network (MASN), Cox Sports (CT/RI) and
Connecticut Sports Network (CTSN).
Hosted by longtime NEC hoops announcers Dave Popkin and Tim
Capstraw, NEC Countdown To Tipoff takes a
comprehensive look at the men's preseason poll with team-by-team
capsules and highlights, followed by a review of the preseason
all-conference team.
Also included in the show is a roundtable discussion with Mount
St. Mary's head coach Milan Brown and NEC analyst Joe DeSantis
focusing on the 2008-09 campaign. Popkin and women's analyst
Terry O'Connor also break down the women's season, including the
preseason all-league team.
