Men's Golf Places Second at NCAA Preview

TOMS RIVER, N.J. ? The Bryant University men?s golf team placed second overall in the team standings at the NCAA Division II Preview in Toms River, New Jersey. The Bulldogs finished with a score of 609 during the two-day tournament that started on Sunday and concluded Monday morning. Indiana University (PA) was the overall winner with a score of 596.


The Bulldogs were led by Dave Falcucci (Northboro, Mass.) who was second overall individually with a two-day score of 147 (75, 72). Jim O?Connell (Troy, N.Y.) scored a 153 (79-74) while senior co-captain Dan Falcucci (Northboro, Mass.) carded a 155. After shooting an opening round 83, Dan Falcucci finished strong Monday by firing a 72.

Other Bryant scorers included Brenden Smith of North Attleboro, Mass. who shot a 155 (77-78), and Mike Phillip who shot a 163. The tournament concludes the Bryant men?s golf fall season for 2004.
