Bryant Men’s Golf Places Third at ECAC

LIVERPOOL, NY – The Bryant men’s golf team placed third overall at the ECAC Division II Championships finishing with a team total of 598. Southern New Hampshire took the title with a score of 593 followed by St. Thomas Aquinas in second with 597.
The Bulldogs were led by Jim O’Connell who finished first overall to earn medalist honors with a score of 141. O’Connell opened with a 71 and finished strong with a 70 on Monday to lead all scorers for the two-day tournament.
Freshman Rob Rooney and senior Brenden Smith each finished tied for 32nd overall with a two-day total of 152 while Dan Peck and Doug Chandor rounded out the scoring for the Bulldogs.
Bryant will travel to the Powerade Invitational in Ohio this
weekend.
