Bulldogs Finish Adams Cup In 16th
Men's Golf Finishes 16th At Adams Cup in Newport
NEWPORT, RI - Playing their fifth round of golf in four days which saw the Bulldogs capture their 20th Northeast-10 Conference Championship, the Bryant University golf team concluded the busy weekend with a 16th place finish at the Adams Cup in Newport Tuesday competing against some of the top Division I programs in the country.
The Bulldogs finished with a three-round total of 971 after scoring a team total 321 Tuesday. Jim O'Connell was Bryant's top finisher in the tournament with a 236 to place tied for 34th. O'Connell closed the tournament with a five over par 77 Tuesday while teammate Brenden Smith shot a 76 in the final round to finish tied for 59th.
Jeremy Hall and Rob Rooney placed tied for 75th at 251 while Mike Philipp rounded out the scoring in 79th.
