BRYANT GOLF BACK IN NCAA TOURNAMENT
Bulldogs Make Fifth-Straight Appearance At NCAA Regional May
1-3
SMITHFIELD,RI -- The Bryant University men's golf team will be making their 28th appearance in the NCAA Division II tournament including the team's fifth-straight in the NCAA Regional when the Bulldogs head to Northeast Regional Championship May 1-3 at Speidel Golf Club in Wheeling, West Virginia. West Liberty State College will serve as the host of the eight team regional. The NCAA finals will take place May 16-19 at Daniels, West Virginia.

in Jackson, NJ by 13 strokes thank in part to the play of
co-medalist Jim O'Connell (Troy, NY). Bryant has won eight
regional titles since the NCAA went to the regional format in 1996.
A total of eighty teams and fifty individuals have been selected to participate in the 2006 NCAA Division II men's golf super regionals. The five super regional tournaments encompass the current ten regions.
The top team from each region within the super regional and the top individual not with a team from each super region (regardless of region) will advance to the finals May 16-19 at the Resort at Glade Springs in Daniels, West Virginia. The finals will be hosted by Concord University and the West Virginia Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.
Ten additional teams will earn berths to the finals. These teams will be determined based on the previous three-year average of top-10 finishes of a super regional at the finals. The 2006 additional super regional allotments are as follows:
Atlantic / Southast - three
South / South Central - three
West / Northwest - four
