Men's Golf Finishes in Tied For Second Place at 2007 NCAA Super Regional

BRYANT MEN'S GOLF FINISHES TIED FOR SECOND AT NCAA REGIONAL

WHEELING, WV.  ---  The Bryant University men's golf team finished tied for second after completion of the 2007 NCAA Division II Super Regional Championship as Le Moyne rallied for third place to overtake the Bulldogs on the final day of competition.  Bryant led after the first two rounds of the three-day tournament, but Le Moyne shot a team total 310 on Wednesday to win by two strokes 949 to 951. 

Bryant was led by Jason Threscher and Dan Peck. Each finished tied for 11th overall individually with a three-day score of 237.  Threscher, a freshman had an excellent final two rounds, firing a 76 Tuesday and 78 on Wednesday. 

Scott Congdon finished 15th with a 239 while Mike Philipp and Nick Caccia finished tied for 16th and 28th respectively after both carded an 81 Wednesday.  Le Moyne, the Super Regional Champion, will advance to the NCAA Finals in Allendale, Michigan next week.
