Men's Golf Places Third at ECAC Championships

SYRACUSE, NY - The Bryant University men's golf team placed third at the ECAC Division II Championships at Drumlins Golf Club. The Bulldogs were tied for seventh after the first round of the two-day tournament but rallied with a team score of 300 on Monday to place third. Post University of Connecticut was the overall winner followed by Pace University which placed second.
Bryant was led by junior Mike Philipp (Bristol, Conn) who finished tied for third individually after carding a 73 Monday to finish three over for the tournament at 145. Lloyd Noately of Post was the tournament medalist with a two-day score of 138. Bryant freshman Greg MacKay (Nantucket, Mass.) earned a tie for 17th with a score of 150. MacKay shot a 72 on Monday. Teammate Brenden Smith (North Attleboro, Mass.) finished tied for 27th with a score of 153.
