THRESHER LEADS BRYANT TO SECOND PLACE FINISH AT NORTHEAST CONFERENCE CHAMPIONSHIPS
ChampionsGate, Fla. The Bryant mens golf team was nothing short of impressive in their debut at the Northeast Conference Championship tournament over the weekend, finishing with a three-day, 54-hole total of 896 that would have placed the team in second place if they were eligible for team competition.

ChampionsGate, Fla. Although not eligible to compete for the Northeast Conference tournament title, the Bryant University golf team is making some noise at their first ever conference tournament championship, as they sit third with a two-day total of 597 to sit in third place.

Bryant University's men's golf coach, Arthur "Archie" Boulet, has been recently inducted into the Woonsocket High School Athletic Hall of Fame for his outstanding athletic achievements throughout his high school career.

DELAWARE, OHIO- Alex Daley (Hudson, Mass.) shot a 73 to finish one over par and tie him for fourth place overall as he led a Bryant attack that shot a 307 overall to tie them with Seton Hall for fourth place after round one at the GEICO Intercollegiate Tournament on Friday.

BROOKLYN, N.Y.- The Bryant University Golf team made a 17-stroke improvement from day one of the Lonnie Barton Memorial, shooting 311 as a team in the second day of play Tuesday to finish in a tie for fifth place in the tournament with Long Island University.

FAIRFIELD, CONN.- The Bryant University golf team finished with a two-day total of 640 to finish seventh of ten teams at the Fairfield Spring Invitational. Charleston Southern won the tournament with a team total of 588, shooting a 286 on Saturday.

Bryant Athletics To Induct Four Into Hall of Fame on Friday, February 27
The Bryant University Department of Athletics is pleased to announce the induction of four former standout student-athletes into the Athletics Hall of Fame February 27. This years class represents four sports, including two of Bryants newest programs: football and mens lacrosse. The class of 2009 is: Greg Wolniec 01 (Vernon, CT), football; Bob Brown 91 (Trumbull, CT), mens golf; Bunmi Akinnusotu 03 (Woonsocket, RI), womens volleyball; and Kevin Barletta 03 (Mahopac, NY), mens lacrosse.

MEN'S GOLF CAPTURES NEW ENGLAND CHAMPIONSHIP TITLE
BREWSTER, MASS. The Bryant University mens golf team roared back from down 11 strokes after opening round action to win the 72nd annual New England Golf Championship. Alex Daley finished tied for first overall individually and took home second place honors following a playoff.

BRYANT FINISHES 4TH AT RUTGERS INVITATIONAL
PISCATAWAY, N.J.- The Bryant University golf team finished with a score of six over par, seven shots behind the leaders, as they came in fourth place at the Rutgers Invitational Tournament over the weekend. The tournament featured 24 teams, with the Bulldogs finishing just behind Seton Hall, USC Upstate, and Binghamton, in Bryants first Division I tournament.

BRYANT GOLF IN 2ND PLACE AFTER DAY 1 AT RUTGERS INVITATIONAL
PISCATAWAY, N.J. -- The Bryant University Golf team stands in 2nd place after their first day of play at the Rutgers Invitational Tournament Friday afternoon. The tournament is the first at the Division I level for the Bulldogs, as they shot an even par, 284, as a team. Scott Congdon (Foxboro, Mass.) led the way for Bryant shooting a 3-under 68 for the day. Mike Pyne (Foxboro, Mass.) was also under par shooting a 70 and Jason Thresher (West Suffield, Conn.) shot a one-over 72. Eric Tankanow (Worcester, Mass.) and Alex Daley (Hudson, Mass) rounded out the scoring for Bryant shooting a 74 and 79 respectively. The Bulldogs will play the final day of the tournament tomorrow.

Mandatory Men's Golf Meeting
There will be a mandatory golf meeting on Monday, Sept. 1 for all student-athletes interested in participating in golf. The location of the meeting will be in Bello Center Room 101.
