Men's Golf Wins Dartmouth Invitational

MEN'S GOLF CAPTURES FIRST PLACE HONORS AT DARTMOUTH INVITE
HANOVER, NH - The Bryant University men's golf team got a strong
outing from senior Scott Congdon (Foxboro, MA) as the Bulldogs took
first place at the Dartmouth Invitational at the Hanover Country
Club over the weekend. The Bulldogs finished two strokes
better than host Dartmouth to win the two-day tournament.
Congdon finished second overall individually with a two-day score of 142. After opening with a round of 73 Saturday, Congdon fired a 69 Sunday to finish even for the round.
Jason Thresher and Alex Daley each earned top-10 finishes. Thresher finished tied for seventh with a round of 149 including a 69 Sunday. Daley came in at 150 with two rounds of 75.
Transfer Mike Pyne took home 16th with Eric Tankanow and Kyle Hoffman were 22nd and 29th respectively.
Other teams competing included Quinnipiac, Central Connecticut, Saint Anselm, Fordham, Holy Cross and Providence College.
The Bulldogs will take part in the Hartford University Invitational on Oct. 27-30.
