BRYANT GOLFER JASON THRESHER NAMED FIRST-TEAM ALL-NEW ENGLAND; ALL-REGION BY THE GOLF COACHES ASSOCIATION

SMITHFIELD, RI – Bryant University golf standout Jason Thresher (West Suffield, CT) has been named First Team All-New England by the Division I New England Golf Association.
Earlier this week, Thresher earned All-Region honors by the Golf
Coaches Association after enjoying a tremendous junior season for
the Bulldogs.
Thresher, who helped lead Bryant to a first-place (All Divisions)
finish at the New England Championships on Cape Cod last October,
helped lead the Bulldogs to a second-place finish at the 2009
Northeast Conference Championships in Florida in May.
Thresher finished second overall individually at the NEC
Championships, finishing the three-day tournament with a score of
214.
On the season, Thresher earned a second-place finish at the Mount
St. Mary’s Invitational, placed fourth at the GEICO
Invitational and was tied for first at the New England Championship
in April.
