BULLDOGS IN SIXTH AFTER FIRST DAY AT LONNIE BARTON MEMORIAL
BROOKLYN, N.Y. - Jason Thresher (West Suffield, Conn.) shot a team-best 79 to tie him for 18th overall and help Bryant to a sixth place standing after one day of play at the Lonnie Barton Memorial Invitational. Bryant shot a 328 as a team, while Longwood shot a 303 to lead all teams. Scooter Buhrman of Longwood is the individual leader, shooting a two-under 70, putting him three-strokes up.
Thresher, who shot a 43 on the front nine, came roaring back with an even-par 36 on the back nine. Kyle Hoffman (Pawtucket, R.I.), Alex Daley (Hudson, Mass.) and Scott Congdon (Foxboro, Mass.) all finished within one-stroke of each other behind Thresher. Hoffman finished with an 82 to tie him for 26th, while Daley came in with an 83 and Congdon an 84, placing them in 29th and 34th respectively. Eric Tankanow (Worcester, Mass.) rounded out the scoring with an 89.
Bryant continues play on Tuesday morning beginning with a 9 a.m. shotgun start.
