MEN'S GOLF COACH, ARTHUR BOULET, INDUCTED INTO WOONSOCKET HIGH SCHOOL ATHLETIC HALL OF FAME
Bryant University's men's golf coach, Arthur "Archie" Boulet, has been recently inducted into the Woonsocket High School Athletic Hall of Fame for his outstanding athletic achievments throughout his high school career.
A 1950 graduate from Woonsocket High School, Boulet played basketball and baseball for three seasons. In his senior year he also played football.
He went on to attend the University of Rhode Island, where he played football, baseball, and golf. During his time at URI, Boulet was selecting to the Yankee Conference All Star Golf Team.
Following his graduation from URI, Boulet found a home at Bryant University as the head golf coach. For the past 45 years, he has been an incredible asset to the men's golf program. Since 1981, his teams have captured the Northeast-10 Conference title 20 of 26 times. Beginning in 1974, Bryant has qualified for 19 NCAA Championships. Boulet was also named the Words Unlimited Coach of the Year in 1990. In 1994, he was selected to the URI Hall of Fame and he also recognized in the Bryant University Hall of Fame as well.
Throughout his coaching career, Boulet's has achieved numerous accomplishments. Over his 45 years at Bryant University, he has coached 23 Division II All Americans and 7 New England Players of the Year. His team holds 10 Top 20 National Division II finishes, 11 New England Division II titles, 1 ECAC All Division title, and 3 New England All Division titles. In addition, 24 of his players are now teaching professionals.
Bryant University wants to congratulate Archie Boulet on his induction into his high school Hall of Fame and on his outstanding achievements throughout his athletic and professional career.
