BRYANT GOLF IN 2ND PLACE AFTER DAY 1 OF RUTGERS INVITATIONAL

PISCATAWAY, N.J. -- The Bryant University Golf team stands in 2nd place after their first day of play at the Rutgers Invitational Tournament Friday afternoon. The tournament is the first at the Division I level for the Bulldogs, as they shot an even par, 284, as a team. Scott Congdon (Foxboro, Mass.) led the way for Bryant shooting a 3-under 68 for the day. Mike Pyne (Foxboro, Mass.) was also under par shooting a 70 and Jason Thresher (West Suffield, Conn.) shot a one-over 72. Eric Tankanow (Worcester, Mass.) and Alex Daley (Hudson, Mass) rounded out the scoring for Bryant shooting a 74 and 79 respectively. The Bulldogs will play the final day of the tournament Saturday.
