BRYANT MEN'S GOLF FINISHES 14th AT HAWKS INVITATIONAL

NORTH FALMOUTH, MA- The Bryant University men's golf team jumped from 20th to 14th after a strong showing on day two of the Hartford Hawks Invitational at Ballymeade Country Club in North Falmouth, Massachusetts on Tuesday. The tournament, which was cut short due to rain on Sunday, featured 23 of the top teams from around the country, with Baylor University coming out on top shooting a 566 over the two days.

The Bulldogs, who finished with a 607, were led by Jason Thresher with a 150, tying him for 42nd individually. He shot a team best 71 on Tuesday. Mike Pyne tied for 49th, finishing just a stroke behind Thresher with a 151, with Alex Daley and Scott Congdon shooting a 153 and 154 respectively. Eric Tankanow rounded out the scoring with a 160. As a team, Bryant improved upon their day one score of 312 by shooting a 295 on day two.
