HOFFMAN TAKES HOME GOLF'S FIRST NEC WEEKLY HONOR, NAMED CONFERENCE GOLFER OF THE WEEK

SMITHFIELD, R.I. -- After tying for a sixth-place finish in last weekend's Mulekicker Fall Classic, Bryant University junior Kyle Hoffman (Pawtucket, R.I.) was named the Northeast Conference Men's Golfer of the Week, as announced by the league Wednesday afternoon.

The honor comes in the first week of awards and is the first both for Hoffman and the Bulldog golf program.

Hoffman's superior play led the Bulldogs to a third-place team finish in the two-day tournament Sept. 12 and 13, shooting par for the first round (70) and just three over the next day (73) to finish just three strokes over par and only six behind the eventual winner.

He paced a team of five, who all finished the weekend in the top 25.
