THRESHER EARNS NORTHEAST CONFERENCE PLAYER OF THE WEEK AFTER TAKING TOP SPOT AT LONNIE BARTON

SMITHFIELD, R.I. -- After taking the top spot in the field of 47 at the Lonnie Barton Memorial Invitational, Bryant University senior Jason Thresher (West Suffield, Conn.) earned his first Northeast Conference Golfer of the Week honor of the 2010 spring season and third on the 2009-10 campaign.

Thresher earned his first individual win of the spring season, taking the field with a two-round score of 150 and leading the Bulldogs to a third-place team finish. The Connecticut native’s day-one score of 77 put him in fourth, but the senior shot a 73 Tuesday, going just one over par for the overall individual win.
