Men's Lacrosse Defeats Assumption 12-5 Thursday
Bulldogs Host Saint Michael's Saturday for Senior Day
WORCESTER, MASS. – Andrew Serge scored four
goals as the Bryant University men’s lacrosse
team picked up a 12-5 Northeast-10 Conference win at
Assumption Thursday afternoon. With the win, Bryant improves to 6-5
overall and 5-2 in Northeast-10 play while Assumption falls to 3-9
and 3-6 in conference.
Bryant would jump out to a 4-0 first quarter lead as four different Bulldogs would get into the scoring column. Zach Rosenow got the scoring started for Bryant notching an unassisted goal just 55 seconds in. Jessie Rose and Craig Buckhout then scored goals followed by a Serge goal to close the quarter.
The Bulldogs would add three more in the second quarter and never looked back. Serge would net his second of the game after taking a pass from Buckhout with Bryant up a man to make it 5-1. Bryan Molk would score later in the quarter followed by an unassisted goal for Jason Zilewicz that made it 7-2 at the half.
Bryant would add five more in the second half to take home the win.
Buckhout finished the game with three goals and an assist while Adam Smith added three assists. Matt Lovejoy got the win in goal for Bryant playing 30 minutes and making four saves.
Bryant will return to action on Saturday when the Bulldogs host Saint Michael’s for Senior Day at Bulldog Stadium. The game is slated for a 12:00 PM start.
