Bulldogs Picked Ninth Nationally For 2006
SMITHFIELD, RI - The Bryant University men's lacrosse team is ranked No. 9 nationally by Face-Off Yearbook, Inside Lacrosse for 2006. The Bulldogs will return nine of its top ten scorers from last year's squad that posted an 11-6 record.
The Bulldogs were picked by Face-Off Yearbook to finish second in the Northeast-10 Conference in 2006, behind perennial power Le Moyne and ahead of Merrimack and Bentley. The rankings were derived from survey's from all coaches in each conference.
Defending national champion New York Tech received 22 first-place votes and sits atop the national poll heading into the new season. There is not consensus No. 1 as second-ranked Le Moyne received seven first place votes with Limestone and C.W. Post receiving one first place vote apiece.
Bryant will host New York Tech on March 18 at Bulldog Stadium.
