MEN'S LACROSSE OPENS SEASON WITH WIN SATURDAY OVER CATAWBA

ALTAMONTE SPRINGS, Fla. -- The Bryant University men's lacrosse team opened the the 2006 spring season with a 19-6 win over Catawba in a non-conference game in Florida Saturday.  The Bulldogs, now 1-0 on the season, will take on Florida State in an exhibition before concluding the trip south with a game against Saint Leo's on Wednesday.

Jedd Storoshenko tallied three goals in the win while Craig Buckhout, Adam Smith and Jason Zilewicz added two goals each.  In his first game back from sitting out the 2005 season due to an injury, Steve Coppinger had a pair of assists. 

Bryant outshot the Indians 41 to 27 and tallied 42 ground balls.  Catawba drops to 2-3 on teh season with the loss.
