MEN'S LACROSSE DOWNS FLORIDA STATE, 15-10
The Bryant men's lacrosse team improved its record to 2-0 on
their trip to Florida as the Bulldog defeated Florida State,
15-10.
Not even homefield could give the ‘Noles the advantage,
who were playing in their first home game since Feb.
17. Bryant University played consistently on both ends of the
field, with the offense scoring 9 goals off 17 shots in the first
half and the defense holding Florida State’s offense to only
4 goals and no assists in the first half.
Both quarters in the second half saw Florida State scoring
goals within the first couple of minutes. Junior Rob Herzog
got a quick unassisted goal just 47 seconds into the third
quarter. Senior Bryan Waters scored Florida State’s
second goal of the third quarter just two-and-a-half minutes later
to bring the score 9-6 in favor of Bryant. However, Bryant
notched three more goals in the third quarter, including two that
were 45 seconds apart, increasing the Bulldogs’ lead to
12-6.
