MEN'S LACROSSE PLACES THREE ON ALL-AMERICAN TEAM FOR 2007
SMITHFIELD,RI - Bryant University seniors Bryan Molk (Peabody, Mass.) and Corey MacDougall (Waltham, Mass.) and sophomore Bryan Kaufmann (Putnam Valley, NY) were named All-Americans for 2007 by the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association. The Bulldogs went 11-4 in 2007, winning the Northeast-10 Conference Regular Season Title with a perfect 9-0 league mark under first year coach Mike Pressler.
Kaufmann and Molk were both named Second Team All-American with MacDougall recognized as an Honorable Mention All-American at defense. Kaufmann led the Bulldogs with 44 goals this season and added 20 assists for 64 points.
Kaufmann had two game-winning tallies with 12 goals coming on the man-advantage. He had a career-best six goal game against Southern New Hampshire earlier in the season and netted five goals in a conference semifinal win over Merrimack.
Molk, a co-captain, finished the season with 14 goals and 16 assists this spring. The senior midfielder had four goals against Merrimack during the regular season and scored three times in a win over Pace at home in March.
MacDougall started all 15 games, finishing with 50 ground balls on the year. The senior co-captain helped backbone a defense that allowed just 119 goals (7.91 team goals against average). Bryant allowed double digit goals in just five games this year.
