SMITHFIELD,RI - Following its convincing 16-7 win over Adelphi Saturday, the Bryant men's lacrosse team is ranked No. 6 this week by Inside Lacrosse. The Bulldogs (1-0) will travel to Long Island this Saturday for a matchup with undefeated and seventh ranked C.W. Post.
Also junior Kevin Hoagland (Glastonbury, CT) was named co-Player of the Week in the Northeast-10 after netting four goals and three assists Saturday's win.
Hoagland shares the honor with Saint Anselm's Chris Murphy who had five goals in a 24-3 win over Division III Emerson.
Senior All-American Michael Kennedy (Port Jefferson Station, NY) was named Goalkeeper of the Week with 13 saves in the win over Adelphi while newcomer Matt Larson (Cheshire, CT) was named Freshman of the Week with a goal and assist against the Panthers.
Junior Jim Long (Durham, NH) was named to the Weekly Honor Roll for his three-goal effort Saturday.
