CASSESE AND PRESSLER: A PLAYER-COACH RELATIONSHIP
When Kevin Cassese was at Comsewogue High School in New York, he participated in both football and lacrosse, with his first love being on the gridiron. As time moved along however, Cassese was told that Division I college football was not in his future, and some even thought he would be unable to play any sport at the top collegiate level. That news did not sit well with Cassese, who used the skepticism to fuel his journey to Duke University, where he played under head coach Mike Pressler and developed into one of the countrys top lacrosse players. Now, ten years later, Cassese will have a chance to go head-to-head with Pressler this coming weekend as the Bryant Bulldogs make their way to the Ulrich Sports Complex for a game that will bring Casseses journey into high level lacrosse full-circle.

NEW ENGLAND LACROSSE JOURNAL: Duke transfer Greer rejoins Pressler in Rhode Island
After his graduation from Duke, Zack Greer had a tough decision to make. With his extra year of eligibility - granted to him and the rest of the Duke lacrosse squad by the NCAA in the wake of false criminal allegations that ended their 2006 season prematurely - Greer had to choose where to use it. Of course, as the all-time Division 1 leader in goals, he certainly wasn't short on suitors.

SMITHFIELD, RI - U.S. Lacrosse has announced that Bryant University head men's lacrosse coach Mike Pressler will serve as head coach of the U.S. men's lacrosse team that will compete in the 2010 Federation of International Lacrosse (FIL) World Championship in Manchester, England.

The Bryant men's lacrosse team will conduct a Junior Bulldog Pumpkin Shootout on Sunday, November 16 at 9 a.m. The shootout is open to Boys in Grades 5-8.

Men's Lacrosse Hosting Pumpkin Shootout Nov. 9
SMITHFIELD, RI - The Bryant University men's lacrosse team will hold its annual Pumpkin Shootout Boy's Lacrosse Shootout on Sunday, Nov. 9. Registration is at 8:30 a.m. at Bulldog Stadium. The shootout features full-field, round robin games from 9:30 a.m to 3 p.m. Last year, more than 20 Division I, II, III college coaches were in attendence.

FORMER DUKE ALL-AMERICAN ZACK GREER TO PLAY FOR BRYANT IN 2009
SMITHFIELD, R.I. Bryant University head men's lacrosse coach Mike Pressler is pleased to announce the addition of Zack Greer, three-time All-American and the NCAA's all-time career goals leader, to the Bryant University men's lacrosse program.
A native of Whitby, Ontario, Greer led Duke University to a pair of national championship appearances. He will enroll in Bryant University's Graduate School of Business and will participate in lacrosse during the 2009 season. Greer is eligible for an additional collegiate year as part of the NCAA's decision to grant an extra year for members of the 2006 Duke men's lacrosse team. Greer played for coach Pressler at Duke for two seasons (2005-06).

Men's Lacrosse Announces Recruiting Class
SMITHFIELD, R.I. Bryant University head men's lacrosse coach Mike Pressler is pleased to announce the men's lacrosse class of 2012. This year's class of 17 newcomers include three transfers and one graduate student who will enroll this fall at Bryant University and compete in men's lacrosse in 2009. Highlighting this year's class is the addition of Zack Greer, a three-time All-American and the NCAA's all-time career goals leader, to the Bryant University men's lacrosse program.
"It is with great pleasure to formally announce the Bryant University men's lacrosse class of 2012," said Pressler. "We welcome 13 talented freshman, three outstanding transfers and one very distinguished grad student to Smithfield, RI."

BRYANT UNIVERSITY ANNOUNCES CONTRACT EXTENSION FOR MEN'S LACROSSE COACH
SMITHFIELD, R.I. Bryant University Director of Athletics is pleased to announce a new, four-year contract extension for head men's lacrosse coach Mike Pressler. The announcement was made today by Smith and Bryant President Ronald K. Machtley. Pressler, who just completed his second year at Bryant, has three years remaining on the five-year contract signed at the time of his hiring in August, 2006. The new extension will keep Pressler at Bryant through 2015.
