ZACK GREER NAMED NEILA CO-PLAYER OF THE WEEK FOR OPENING-WEEK PERFORMANCES
SMITHFIELD, R.I. -- After leading the Bryant University men's lacrosse team to its first-ever Division I win Sunday against Sacred Heart, Bulldog captain Zack Greer (Whitby, Ont.) was named the Turfer/NEILA co-Player of the Week for the week of February 16-22.
A graduate student and Duke transfer, Greer is the NCAA's all-time leading goals scorer and added six more after pacing the Bulldogs (2-1) with 11 points in a 22-8 victory over the Pioneers on Sunday afternoon.
Greer tallied six goals and added five helpers in the win, depositing another five with a pair of assists in a 12-9 victory over Dartmouth on Feb. 24. He shares the honor with Harvard's Jeff Cohen.
The Bulldogs also make their debut on the Turfer/NEILA Coaches' Poll, checking in at No. 7.
