Brad Ross enters his second season as associate head coach for the Bryant men's lacrosse program and will serve as the offensive coordinator for the Bulldogs in 2012. Currently a member of the MLL's Boston Cannons, Ross rejoins head coach Mike Pressler after playing for him at Duke University from 2005-06.
Ross helped the Bulldogs reach the NEC postseason tournament for the first time in program history, as the Bulldogs went 3-2 in conference play before falling to top-ranked Mount St. Mary in the conference semifinals.
Before becoming a member of the Cannons prior to the 2010 season, Ross was drafted 15th overall (second round) by the Toronto Nationals, where he helped lead the team to the 2009 Major League Lacrosse Championship.
A three-time All-America selection at Duke University, Ross was a two-year captain and three-year starter at midfield for the Blue Devils. During his four-year career, he led his team to three-consecutive ACC titles (2007, 2008, 2009) as well as a pair of NCAA tournament championship berths in 2005 and 2007, playing in an NCAA-record 73 wins over five seasons. Ross graduated from Duke with over 100 career points, ranking him among the top midfield point-getters in program history.
Off the field, Ross was just as successful, earning two USILA Scholar All-America nods while being named to the ACC All-Academic team twice (2007, 2008). A finalist for the NCAA Division I Lowe's Senior Class Award in 2008 and 2009, he also volunteered throughout the Durham community during his time at Duke.
Ross joins the Bryant coaching staff after spending the 2010 season as an assistant for crosstown Brown University, where he guided a midfield corps that saw two named All-Ivy First Team selections.
A Darnestown, Md. native, Ross graduated from Duke University with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology in 2008. Using his final year of eligibility to work toward a graduate degree, he earned a Master of Arts in Humanities with a concentration in Ethics from his alma mater in 2009.
