Casey Brodersen returns to the bench for his second season as an assistant coach for the Bryant University men's lacrosse team in 2011-12.  During his coaching debut in the spring of 2011, he helped the Bulldogs qualify for their first ever postseason tournament, as Bryant reached the Northeast Conference Tournament semifinals in the conference's first full season sponsoring men's lacrosse as a full-time sport.

Brodersen comes to Smithfield from Springfield College in Springfield, Mass., where he served as an assistant coach during the 2009-10 academic year.

At Springfield, Brodersen was an offensive assistant, working specifically with the midfield, and managed all faceoff responsibilities for the Pride, coaching the team's starting specialist to a 2010 All-American selection and a Pilgrim League Player of the Year nod. He coached another All-American in the midfield as well, with three of his players earning all-league distinctions.

Off the field, Brodersen was in charge of all aspects of film review and exchange and maintained responsibilites in recruiting, scouting, player evaluation, scouting reports and team mailings.

Brodersen, who was an assistant coach at Monadnock Regional High School in the spring of 2009, was a standout midfielder at Keene State in Keene, N.H., from 2005-09. The 2009 team captain and MVP, he was named a First Team All-Little East selection as a senior and was a four-year Keene State All-Academic Team selection. Brodersen graduated in 2009 with the Owls' all-time program record for ground balls in a game (13), season (83) and career (157).

Brodersen has also been a lacrosse camp coach since 2006, working such camps as the Blue Chip Lacrosse 225, Peak 200 Lacrosse Camp and Next Level Day Camp.

A 2009 graduate of Keene State with a Bachelor of Arts in History, Brodersen is currently pursuing his Master of Education with a concentration in athletic administration at Springfield College.
