Former professional lacrosse player and Ohio Wesleyan lacrosse and soccer standout, Charlie Blanchard begins his third year on Mike Pressler's coaching staff at Bryant. This is Blanchard's second stint as an assistant with Pressler, having served as an assistant for two years at Ohio Wesleyan.
A local golf amateur in Rhode Island where he won the R.I. Amateur title, Blanchard was a two-time all-American selection lacrosse player and Midfielder of the Year pick in 1987 at OWU. A two-time Player of the Year selection, Blanchard helped lead the Bishops to a pair of No. 1 national rankings and two championship game appearances.
Blanchard was selected to the NCAC All-Decade team and played professionally as a member of the Boston Blazers (MLL), where he participated in the first Major League Lacrosse All-Star game. Inducted into the OWU Athletics Hall of Fame, Blanchard was also a team captain and Most Valuable Player in men's soccer.
