Bulldogs Win Northeast-10 Conference Opener

ALBANY, NY – The Bryant University men’s soccer won its Northeast-10 Conference opener today beating St. Rose 3-0.

The Bulldogs (1-2-0/1-0-0 NE-10) controlled the majority of play although the game remained scoreless until midway through the second half when Bryant struck three times within a 10-minute span.

Senior midfielder Jon Feinman (Amherst, MA/Amherst) delivered a cross from the left flank to senior forward Clint Stonacek (Omaha, NE/Harry A. Burke) who touched it home at the 70:03 mark for what proved to be the game-winner.

Three minutes later, Stonacek converted a penalty kick after a teammate was taken down in the box. Freshman forward Michael Gargiulo (North Branford, CT/North Branford) then closed out the scoring at the 80:01 mark.

The Bulldogs return home for their home opener Wednesday September 8 when they play Northeast-10 Conference foe American International. Game time is set for 3:30pm at Sutton Field.
