UMass Lowell Tops Bryant 4-1

SMITHFIELD, RI ? The Bryant University men?s soccer team lost 4-1 to UMass Lowell today in Northeast-10 Conference game played today at Sutton Field. The Riverhawks used two first half goals and two second half goals for the win.
UMass Lowell (8-2-1) scored 13 minutes into the game when Andrew Doherty scored off a Craig Lamey assist on a corner kick to make the score 1-0. The Riverhawks added a goal eight minutes later when Jason Paige scored off a misplayed defensive ball and made the score 2-0.
Bryant (5-6-2) scored first in the second half when freshman Matt Amsden (North Providence, RI) scored an unassisted goal to make 2-1 just 41 seconds into the half.
From there UMass Lowell went on to score two more goals for the 4-1 final. Doherty netted another at 66:12 off an assist from Tim Garry, and then he assisted on one by Nurradin Abdo.
Bryant will return to action Monday, October 11, when they host Le Moyne College at Sutton Field. Game time is set for 1:00PM.
