Men's Soccer Set To Open 2005 Season in San Francisco on Friday
SMITHFIELD, RI - The Bryant University men's soccer team heads to California this weekend to open the 2005 season. The Bulldogs will take on San Francisco State on Friday starting at 1 p.m. (PST) before heading to Dominican for a match on Sunday.
The Bulldogs, under the direction of tenth year coach Seamus Purcell, are coming off a 6-9-2 season in 2004 but will look to the return of seniors Joe Truncali, Micahel Anania, and Bryan Gravel to lead the way this fall.
The first home match of the year will be on Sept. 10 when the Bulldogs entertain the Penmen of Southern N.H. in a Northeast-10 Conference battle at Bulldog Stadium.
