Bulldogs Draw 3-3 Tie With Franklin Pierce
SMITHFIELD, RI - Justin Stepnowski, Manny Rodriguez and Nick Balistierri all scored goals as the Bryant men's soccer team tied Franklin Pierce 3-3 in double overtime Friday afternoon at Bulldog Stadium. Bryant is now 2-3-3 on the season and 2-2-2 in the NE-10.
Stepnowski gave the Bulldogs a 1-0 lead on a goal just seven minutes into the match and following a pair of goals from the Ravens, Manny Rodriguez tied the match up at 2-2 with a goal late in the contest. A total of three goals were scored in the final ten minutes of the match.
FPC's Bisharra Ettienne scored on a Simon Walker corner in the 84th minute to give the visitors a 3-2 lead but Balistierri would answer, scoring an unassisted goal in the 85th minute to even the score at 3-3.
That's the way it would finish as Tom Madden made a pair of saves in goal for the Bulldogs while James Thorpe had three.
