MEN'S SOCCER DEFEATS FELICIAN 2-0
SMITHFIELD, RI - Kyle Tierney and Matthew Brown scored late second half goals to help lead the Bryant University men's soccer team to a 2-0 non-conference win over visiting Felician (NJ) Monday at Bulldog Stadium.
Despite out-shooting Felician 18 to 3 in the first half, the Bulldogs were unable to put one past Golden Falcon goalie Paulo DosSantos in the first half as the Felician netminder stopped nine shots in the first 45 minutes.
In the second half, the Bulldogs finally broke through as Erik Lekstrom set up Tierney for what would prove to be the game winner in the 73rd minute to make it 1-0. The Bulldogs would add an insurance goal just two minutes later when Brown scored his fourth of the season unassisted.
The Bulldogs out-shot Felician 29 to 6 in the game.
