SMITHFIELD, RI -  Manny Rodriguez picked up a rebound following an overtime penalty kick and redirected the ball into the net to give host Bryant University a thrilling 3-2 double-overtime men's soccer win over Saint Anselm Tuesday evening at the Bryant Turf Complex.  The win boosts Bryant's record to 7-3 overall and 4-3 in the NE-10.

The Bulldogs trailed 1-0 at the half as Saint Anselm's Anthony Galluzzo tallied the lone goal in the first 45 minutes.  But the Bulldogs wasted little time evening the score as Ryan Aspinall headed in a brilliant throw-in by senior Nick Balisterri just 1:25 into the second half.

Tim Hubbard would put St. Anselm (4-5-1, 2-4 NE-10) up 2-1 with a goal in the 63rd minute, but Matt Brown tied things up again on a Balisterri corner kick with under eight minutes left to play in regulation.

After a scoreless first overtime period, the Bulldogs were fouled inside the goal box and were awarded a penalty kick.  Kyle Tierney's kick bounced off the cross bar and found its way to Rodriguez how tucked into the back of the net to give the Bulldogs the win.  Bryant will travel to Le Moyne on Saturday afternoon for a 1 p.m. game.
