BRYANT UNIVERSITY MEN'S SOCCER SIGNS 11 STUDENT-ATHLETES TO NATIONAL LETTERS OF INTENT

SMITHFIELD, RI -  Bryant University head men's soccer coach Seamus Purcell is pleased to announce the signing of 11 student-athletes to National Letters of Intent to enroll and participate in men's soccer at the University this fall.  The announcement was made today by coach Purcell and Director of Athletics Bill Smith. Joining the Bulldog freshman class this fall are forwards Jim Lineberger (Warwick, R.I.) and Anthony Zarella (Marshfield, MA), defenders Eddie Curry (Massapequa, NY) and Matthew D'Amelio (Lincoln, R.I.), midfielders Edward Barr (Fairfax, VA), Mike daFonte (Ossining, NY), Travis Frank (Port Jefferson Station, NY), Omar Ismail (Fairfax, VA) and Sean Reilly (Monroe, NY) and goalkeepers James Clements (Lebanon, CT) and Matt Miscione (Ashburn, VA).

Bryant will begin its second season of its four-year transition to full Division I membership.  Bryant will officially become a member of the NEC in the fall of 2012.

Team was undefeated for three-straight years, posting a 33-0-3 record... Played three years at center midfield before moving to goalkeeper for his senior year... ECC second team All-league... ECC sportsmanship award recipient... Captain of club soccer with Northeast United... Played for Connecticut ODP team for three years.
