The Bryant University men’s soccer team dropped to 2-4-2 in the Northeast Conference after falling to 18th-ranked Monmouth, 3-0, on the road Sunday afternoon. The Bulldogs, falling to 4-8-2 on the season, were shutout in a physical matchup that saw 27 fouls and two yellow cards issued.

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – Senior Norbert Guery (Andover, Mass.) scored four minutes into overtime to give the Bryant University men’s soccer team a 2-1 victory over Long Island Sunday afternoon at Bulldog Stadium. The win improves Bryant’s overall record to 3-6-1 (1-2-1 NEC), while Long Island falls to 4-7 on the season (1-2 NEC).

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – With non-conference play officially in the books, the Bryant University soccer programs are set to open Northeast Conference action as the Bulldogs host a doubleheader on Friday at the Bryant Turf Complex. SMITHFIELD, R.I. – The Bulldogs will be welcoming back their alumni October 8-10, 2010 to celebrate Homecoming & Reunion Weekend, an event that is highlighted by the football team’s 1 p.m. game against Northeast Conference rival Sacred Heart at Bulldog Stadium. Varsity games for six different teams as well as activities for alumni will take place throughout the weekend.

MEN’S SOCCER TEAM ON TARGET IN YEAR THREE OF DIVISION I
With its dramatic victory over Army on September 15, the Bryant University men’s soccer team evened its record to 2-2 overall on the young 2010 season. Opening the year with a loss to Brown and Rhode Island in the final minutes in the inaugural Ocean State Soccer Classic, the Bulldogs have strung together back-to-back wins, defeating Manhattan at home and pulling out a 1-0 win over Army in overtime.

BULLDOGS HOST SUCCESSFUL YOUTH SOCCER CLINIC
SMITHFIELD, R.I. – The Bryant University summer youth clinic went off without a hitch July 19-23. Girls and boys ages 6-12 arrived at Bryant to be mentored by Bulldog soccer players and coaches in the areas of dribbling, passing, shooting and receiving. The academy featured a mix of technical stations, small-sided games and individual instruction.
